F-1 digital interface,our team develop a high-performance USB digital audio interface, using the XMOS latest xCORE-200 series chips.F-1 use low jitter clock system digital interface. F-1 digital interface using standard USB2.0 input interface, while F-1 has many kinds of output interfaces, including coaxial RCA and I2S interfaces.


The new generation XOMS chip of XU208,using more advanced process technology,performance than the older U8 chip doubled, reaching 1000MIPS processing capabilities.

Each output interface supports sample rates:
PCM: 44.1KHz,48KHz,88.2KHz,96KHz,
176.4KHz, 192KHz,352.8KHz,384KHz
Wherein I2S out support full sample rate,S/PDIF supports up to 192KHz

2.8 MHz (DSD64) - DoP,native
5.6 MHz (DSD128) - DoP,native
11.2 MHz (DSD256) - native
Wherein I2S out support all DSD format,S/PDIF and AES/EBU support DSD64 DOP mode
Bits wide:
the highest 32 bit over I2S output
The highest 24 bit over S/PDIF


Screw position,I2S is compatible with Amanero board.
Use three crystal oscillators,they are all active crystal oscillators,and the audio crystal oscillators is CRYSTEK CCHD.

Each interface electrical standards:
1.USB input socket is a standard USB-B type female, USB power supply range 4.5V-5.1V ;
2.RCA connector outputs standard S/PDIF Electricity level is 550mV(standard connection load),the output impedance of 75 ohms.

Design details:
1. Carry out electricity as the mother of the acoustic design concept,pay attention to the power supply circuit design,high-performance,low noise and fast response of the LDO as the main power source.The entire board with a 2-way independent LDO for power supply,part of the clock use ADI's ultra low noise LDO,in order to ensure the ultimate performance.

2. PCB motherboard with 4-layer circuit board design,make sure you have a complete ground plane and power planes,high-speed digital design methods to ensure signal integrity and power integrity of the entire board.The clock signal with a special pocessing,the use of package design and precise impedance control,thereby ensuring the signal quality and increase the clock anti-jamming capability.Input and output signals follow standard design,especially USB high speed signals using a 90 ohm differential impedance control.

1:Windows 7,Windows 8;32/64 bit,need install driver
2:Native MacOS 10.6 and later,use own driver
3:Native Linux with UAC2 compliant kernel,use own driver
4:Android OS 4.2 and above,need support OTG function


The instruction of I2S output signal scoket:

1.It is High dB mute(DSD ON is DSD data stream)
2.All dB is LVCMOS,Voltage is 3.3V.
3.VD3.3 is output supply,and output electric current 50mA
4.MCLK output 22.5792Mhz or 24.576Mhz clock
5.FS0,FS1,FS2 is sample dB,FS3 not.

Hi, how do you output I2s on this unit, if it only has a coax rca output? or is it done internally and then passed thru the coax output? I have a W4s i would like to move off of usb to Is2 input, THANKS for the help,

Is it possible to purchase this with the I2S wired to an HDMI socket rather than with the S/PDIF output? Is this powered by USB or can one use an alternate power supply?

just build your F1 board in my DAC and powered the output side with a seperate PSU from the DAC. However when I switch off the DAC it seems the DAC is powered by the USB input. How do I separate this on the F1 board?

Hi guys , I have an F1 usb card and am powering the isolated side from a low noise power supply built into my dac. Is there a way to change the F1 from master to slave mode or vice versa as at the moment I can't use the controls on my dac input board ( ak4118 via I2S) to change filters or volume when I am using the F1 to input a signal. Using the bnc connector on the input board for my cd transport the filters and volume control do work If I set the input board to 'master'. Best regards, Gordon
